Baby Room 0-12 months

In the Baby Room we provide a homely warm and secure atmosphere for your baby.

Prior to starting we will complete a care sheet with you indicating times of sleeps, feeds, any comforters and anything else you think we should know.

We record details of your baby’s day and keep a record of these to share with you. In our sleep room the babies are checked every 10 minutes also a listening monitor is fitted in the room and each baby has its own cot sheets.

Your baby’s day will consist mainly of supervised open play. Staff talk to the babies to encourage a wide vocabulary, nursery rhymes are sung and played to the babies on tapes during the day.

We follow a program of development based on the Early Years Foundation Stage and provide activities which give babies a wide range of learning opportunities.

The babies have outdoor sessions every day and are taken for walks with parental consent when appropriate. Parents evenings are held out of Nursery opening hours to enable you to discuss your child’s progress on a one to one basis with staff.
