In the Duck Room we to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment for children between 24 months and 36 months.
The children’s day consists of structured and self-chosen play activities, group times, outdoor play, craft and social interaction. We follow a program of development from the Early Years Foundation Stage and providing a wide range of activities which give children many learning opportunities.
After lunch children staying all day are offered a sleep time. If they do not wish to sleep, they join other children for television/table activities. The sessions provide opportunities to introduce colours, shapes, promote language, social skills and physical activities.
The children have outdoor play and learning with slides, bikes, balls etc. promoting all aspects of physical development. We incorporate music and movement activities into the day.
Our aim is to ensure your child’s time in the Duck Room is enjoyable and to encourage their overall development.
Parents evenings are held out of Nursery opening hours to enable you to discuss your child’s progress on a one to one basis with staff.
